2011 Rules Governing Operation of Raffle

2011 ROTARY DREAM HOME

Age Limit – Raffle tickets cannot be sold to persons under 18 years of age.  Should a minor (under 18 years of age) win a prize, it would be held in trust by the legal guardian of the Winner until the age of 18, and the Public Trustee’s Office would be notified. Stampede personnel (defined as all Board Members and full time staff) and their dependents (defined as members of their household) may not participate in any raffles, lotteries or draws sponsored by the Stampede at any time during the year. Members of any Stampede Committee or part-time staff and their dependents (defined as members of their household) may not participate in any raffles, lotteries or draws sponsored by a Stampede Committee, department or event that they are directly associated with, or working at, during any time of the year.

Minimum number of tickets sold before draw date extended or raffle cancelled – not applicable. No refunds on Ticket purchases. Order in which prizes will be awarded on final draw which will take place on first Wednesday following Stampede (July 20, 2011) at 4:00 pm:

Grand Prize a $724,950 (includes GST) Dream Home constructed by Homes by Avi including various value added items.  Possession of the House to take place by November 1, 2011

One (1) ticket will be drawn from all tickets sold in advance and during Stampede and the prize will be awarded to the person whose name appears first on the ticket stub drawn. Cash in Lieu – not applicable Draw to take place at Stampede Park (1800 Stampede Trail S.E.) at the above mentioned date by Stampede Officials, who draw the winning ticket(s) from the large draw drum and the draw will be video-taped and/or televised. Prizes awarded at the Winners Reception, after Stampede concludes (official turnover of the house to the winner occurs on or by November 1, 2011). Alternate method of awarding prize if winning ticket not sold – not applicable.
Steps to be taken if winner not located:
For each ticket in the draw, we have the person’s name, address and phone number.  Any/all winner(s) have one year from date of draw to claim their prize.  If the winner is not located, a letter will be forwarded to AGLC informing them that the prize will be donated back to the organization or to an Alberta Gaming recognized charity.

The prize will be awarded to the person whose name appears first on the ticket stub.  In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charity shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket, and that the licensed charity and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub

2011 EARLY BIRD DRAWS

Age Limit – tickets cannot be sold to persons under 18 years of age. Should a minor (under 18 years of age) win a prize, it would be held in trust by the legal guardian of the Winner until the age of 18, and the Public Trustee’s Office would be notified.
Employees of the Stampede and Members of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries Committee, including blood relatives living in the same domicile, are not permitted to purchase lottery tickets.

Prize Package 1 - The early bird prize package 1 consists of:
Trip for two to Secrets Wild Orchid Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica $20,000:

• Return airfare from Calgary to Montego Bay with WestJet.
• Preferred Club Swim Out Junior Suite
• All inclusive package
• 14 night stay; and
• $5,000 cash provided by Calgary Stampede Lotteries

Total prize package 1 is valued at $25,000

Prize Package 2 –The early bird prize package 2 consists of:
Trip for two for a 12 day tour of Australia as detailed in Incredible Journey’s Letter valued at $30,000:

• Return airfare from Calgary to Australia (arrive Melbourne, depart Sydney)
• Tour Melbourne, Cairns, Port Douglas, Uluru and Sydney ; and
• $10,000 Cash Provided by Calgary Stampede Lotteries

Total prize package 2 is valued at $40,000

Eligibility –
Draw 1: All persons who have acquired a pre-sale ticket package on or before May 19, 2011 will be eligible to win the early bird draw package.  For these purposes, "acquiring a pre-sale ticket package" means a request for a pre-sale ticket package together with an approved form of payment, which request is received by Stride Management Corp. ("Stride") either by a mailing which is physically received by Stride on or before May 19, 2011, a phone order to Stride made at any time on or before May 19, 2011, or an internet request received by Stride at any time on or before May 19, 2011.
Draw 2: All persons who have acquired a pre-sale ticket package on or before June 9, 2011 will be eligible to win the early bird draw package.  For these purposes, "acquiring a pre-sale ticket package" means a request for a pre-sale ticket package together with an approved form of payment, which request is received by Stride Management Corp. ("Stride") either by a mailing which is physically received by Stride on or before June 9, 2011, a phone order to Stride made at any time on or before June 9, 2011, or an internet request received by Stride at any time on or before June 9, 2011.

Token System - Any person who has acquired a pre-sale ticket package on or before each respective draw date will be given a number by Stride and Stride shall ensure that a token bearing such number is included in the draw.  When the winning token is selected, Stride will confirm the identity of the person named on the pre-sale package ticket stubs which match the winning token and the prize will be awarded to such person.  The pre-sale Dream Home tickets ordered by the winner of the early bird draw will be included in the draw for the Dream Home.

Order in which prizes will be awarded:
Early Bird Draw Prize 1 - Drawn on Friday, June 3, 2011
Early Bird Draw Prize 2 - Drawn on Friday, June 24, 2011
Cash in Lieu – There is no cash in lieu for the prize. Draw to take place at the offices of Stride at 3950 – 12 Street N.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2E 8H9 at the above mentioned time.  The Stampede Lotteries Committee Chair or Vice-Chair will draw one token from a draw drum and the public will be able to attend the draw. Alternate method of awarding prize if winning ticket not sold - not applicable.
Steps to be taken if winner not located:
For each token in the draw, we have the person's name, address and phone number.  Any/all winner(s) have one year from date of draw to book their vacation.  This includes booking the hotel, flight, and itinerary as described above with the restrictions described in the respective letters from West Jet Vacations and Incredible Journeys Travel Inc..  If the winner is not located by 1 year following the respective draw date (blank and blank respectively), a letter will be forwarded to AGLC informing them that the prize will be donated back to the organization.

2011 LIONS LUCKY LOOT

Age Limit – Raffle tickets cannot be sold to persons less than 18 years of age.  Should a minor (under 18 years of age) win a prize, it would be held in trust by the legal guardian of the Winner until the age of 18, and the Public Trustee’s Office would be notified. Stampede personnel (defined as all Board Members and full time staff) and their dependants (defined as members of their household) may not participate in any raffles, lotteries or draws sponsored by the Stampede at any time during the year. 
Members of any Stampede Committee or part-time staff and their dependants (defined as members of their household) may not participate in any raffles, lotteries or draws sponsored by a Stampede Committee, department or event that they are directly associated with, or working at, during any time of the year.

No refunds on ticket purchases.

Order in which prizes will be awarded:

• One draw of $10,000 will be held daily from Friday, July 8, 2011 to Sunday, July 17, 2011 on Stampede Park at 4:00 pm and final draw to be held concurrently with Grand Prize Draw on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at approximately 6:00 pm. 

• One GRAND PRIZE OF $100,000 will be drawn for the Lions Lucky Loot raffle.  The draw will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 on Stampede Park at approximately 6:00 pm.

• $100,000 will be given away in two Money Booths throughout the 10 days of Stampede, and throughout the evening of Sneak a Peak held before the festival begins, to purchasers of tickets whose Scratch and Win portion of their ticket indicate that they are a winner.  What they win is a chance to go into a money booth located on-park and grab cash, which is being blown around in the booth.  If there is an undistributed portion, it will be drawn for on July 20, 2011 at approximately 6:00 pm. 

Tickets purchased through the Advanced Ticket campaign are eligible for every daily draw and for the Grand Prize but not for the Money Booths. 

Total value of all prizes described above is $310,000.

Draws to take place at Stampede Park (1800 Stampede Trail S.E.) at the above mentioned time(s) by Stampede Officials, who draw the winning tickets from a large drum.  All draws will be videotaped and/or televised. Daily prizes awarded daily.  Grand Prize draw awarded at the Winners Reception, after Stampede concludes. Alternate method of awarding prize if winning ticket not sold – not applicable. Steps to be taken if winner not located:

MONEY BOOTH RULES

All tickets sold on ground will have a scratch and win portion of those 6% will be winners that allow purchaser to enter in money booth.  If winner chooses not to enter booth or booth is closed winner can elect for payment of $50. At all times both money booths will each have $500 in cash in them. For every winning ticket, the winner will have the choice to go to either Money Booth for the chance at the cash grab. The denomination of money in each booth at the beginning of Stampede will be at least 1 x $50, 5 x $20, 15 x $10 and 40 x $5. The fan speed will be set at high. The timer will be set at 15 seconds for each and every money booth winner. The minimum that anyone will win is $50.  In the event that a winning ticket is purchased at the end of the day and ticket holder does not have time to go into one of the booths, the purchaser is to be given the option by the Money Booth manager of either coming back another day or being brought to the office and given $50 in cash. In the event that the Stampede Lotteries committee determines during the week of on-park sales that not enough money is being given away in the booths, we will do one or all of the following: change the fan speed; and change the denomination of the bills in the booths at any one time.  The minimum win will not change.

2011 KINSMEN WHEELS – TRUCK & FIFTH WHEEL

Age Limit – Raffle Tickets cannot be sold to persons less than 18 years of age.  Should a minor (under 18 years of age) win a prize, it would be held in trust by the legal guardian of the Winner until the age of 18, and the Public Trustee’s Office would be notified.
Stampede personnel (defined as all Board Members and full time staff) and their dependents (defined as members of their household) may not participate in any raffles, lotteries or draws sponsored by the Stampede at any time during the year. Prizes awarded at the Winners Reception, after Stampede concludes.
